From 30 June to the 7 July 2012, a team of 10 individuals from across America traveled to Sligo, Ireland with the main focus of outreaching to children through a kids camp in affiliation with Sligo City Church.

The team consisted of Missionary Ventures Ireland Field Coordinators Eric & Lyndsey D'Errico, along with Amber Russelburg, Randol Schrimsher, Benjamin Reed, Gary McLaughlin, Hannah Munoz, Dani Taylor, and David, Joanne, Jillian, & Dayna Beatty.  The camp was held in the mornings from Monday to Friday where we saw over 30 different children in attendance, dancing and playing to the theme of Pandamania!

The significance of the kids camp to the community was monumental.  It ignited a spark in families and church members to reach children with the good news of Jesus Christ, and that doing so can also be fun.  Not only is there enthusiasm to hold camps annually from now on in Sligo, but to even see a program for the children occur on a regular basis.  The team did a phenomenal job in showing Sligo how a camp can be efficient, effective, creative, evangelical, and fun, and people here were touched.  Many children in attendance came from families not as familiar with the Bible, or even Jesus Christ.  Some did not own a single Bible in their family, a fact which we were all too happy to supply them with one.

Please continue to pray for the children of Ireland, and particularly Sligo and the west of Ireland.  Children are important to Jesus, and are also integral in reaching the community with good news.

Pandamania 2012
This year we were able to implement some much
needed ministry for children under 12 years of age. In July we had a
team from a variety of places. These guys were so instrumental in making sure this
first camp went well and encouraged the church in outreaching children.
