Southern Carribean Cruise on the Disney Magic

Arriving at Port Canaveral on Dec. 18 to start our Southern Caribbean Cruise, we found ourselves filled with anticipation and joy. It was a gift from my Mom's Estate that we decided to honor her and her life as we enjoyed the beauty of God's creation. We packed 11 photos of Mom, the girls and I and changed the photo at every evening meal. It was hard at first as many memories would flow from just one photo of myself as a little girl with my Mom. The photos provided time of reflection and thankfulness for a beautiful opportunity of 11 days and exactly 7 months after my Mom's passing May 18th, 2010. I would have not guessed that May 18-29 preparing to buried my Mom and making funeral arrangements to honor her would turn into a beautiful memory for my own family 7 months later. What a contrast preparing to say good-bye to Mom, and a flood of decisions to quiet family moments of just time with God and family uninterrupted.
Day 1 a day at Sea waking up to flying fish outside our verandah and the beauty of the navy aqua marine blue Florida Straits on our way to St. Martaan. Day 2 Day at Sea time to play in the pool, hot tub, and time at the rain forest spa . Day 3 St. Martaan rental car adventure to the French side, Marigot and to visit a 1700s French Fort, St Louis. Day 3 Guadalupe traveling to the Cabet falls and hiking in the rain forest for a hour and time of beauty at the Floral Park with flowers and hummingbirds. Day 4 Barbados a tour bus to Harrison caves and seeing the magnificent beauty of stalactites and stalagmites a mile under the limestone island. A winding tour of the island with acres of sugarcane, sweet-potatoes and bananas. Day 5 a day cruising on the Caribbean sea. Day 6 Martinique a small volcanic island with black sand. Day 7 Another day at Sea. Day 8 St. Thomas VI a beach break at #1 Caribbean beach Magen's Bay. Day 9 day at Sea time at the Edge for the Girls, the youth Hang out club where they spent time challenge others to a game of checkers, chess, Wii, Nintedo, crafts and making new friends. Day 10 Castaway cay, Bahama's Disney's private island lounging in a hammock as a family and taking a hour bike tour. Day 9 A day at Sea Day 11 Arriving back at Port Canaveral. A blessed trip.

Hanukkah

A time to remember that God is always on the side of people who do what is right by His word.
We light the candles, we eat latkes and spend time Friends. We enjoyed our mini Maccabee play, Teen non sleepover party. Other highlights celebrating with Kiril and Vivian's, and friends The grand topper at The Blumes to celebrate Luke turning 9 as he blew out the 9 candles on the Hanukkiah. Chag Samech! Great Holiday.

November 19, 20 & 21. Jillian was on stage as Motel, the innkeeper and a Russian. She had several lines and a two dance routines. Super Job! Well done on stage Jillian!




Jillian: It was great! I would love to do it again. Most of the practices were crazy, but I still had a blast. I meet great people and never got stage fright, but my dad said I have his "want to be on stage" feeling. I just hope they have a play my parents agree on soon. If you would like to have this experience then find a play that needs actors and go for it. You will have a blast!

Clay Class at The Center

The First thing you do with clay is roll the clay into a long thick roll, then you take the rake and scratch and place water on the score. It is used as its own glue. Once place on the other part of your work then gentle squeeze and form by pressing in. Some tools clay artists use is the ruler, knife, rake and newspaper. We make sure our art is wrapped in newspaper and a plastic bag to keep it most. I making many Hanukkah gifts for my family and for myself. I love Clay!!
