Indain Summer Honey Bee Farm

God is an Awesome God when it comes to His creation. Today we got a glimpse at a Bee Farm that raises queens and extracts honey. We learned how the bees make the honey, reproduce the brood. How long they can live, and how they communicate in the hive and other facts. The queen bee has many servants/nurses that tend to her and tell her when to deposit her 1500 eggs a day in each hexagonal cell. She will produce fertilized eggs for the worker bee and unfertilized egg for the male drone, which is place in a larger cell. She is directed to larger cells from the workers and she knows to deposit a unfertilized egg by the feel of the cell. The workers, drones and queens all have different periods of maturity. The bees take the nectar/pollen from plant flowers and carry them on there pollen baskets and inside there honey stomach. The come back to the hive and regurgitate/spit up the honey to the workers and they distill it and place it in a cell where it will be capped with bee's wax to preserve it for a lifetime. Depending on the time of year worker bees can live 2 weeks to several months depending. The spring months worker bees die off in 2 weeks, because of all the work to start the hive. We were able to see a virgin queen pulled out of the wax cell and hold her. Plus we were able to hold a big-eyed drone male that has no stinger.

Holocaust Rememberance Play April 25

The whole family was involved in a play for Holocaust Remembrance Day. We portrayed a Orthodox Jewish family who was taken from there home. The Germans soldiers came during the evening Shabbat. The Family was mistreated and loaded into cattle cars headed for a concentration camp. Our journey ended with being thrown into a gas chamber. As we laid there for the song to complete and the dancers to finish. Lord have mercy. The sadness filled me of how horrible this time was. I felt a deep sadness that people just because they were God's Chosen were massacred with the world's faces turn. May it never happen again.

Behind the Scenes, Steam Engines Tour at Magic Kingdom

On March 30 our family was able to experience the history and workings of the 4 steam Engine Trains that are used everyday at the Magic Kingdom. We were able to ride the Lilly Belle, the show train for the characters and the oldest train there. It is name after Mrs. Lillian Disney, Walt Disney's wife. The four trains are almost 100 years old and are still iron work horses. The trains are run off of clean diseal and steam. The boiler is heated up and the work conditions during the summer can be 135 degrees. All cast have to wear cotton clothing in case of flare back with the open fire in the boiler. They said it is the most dangerous ride to be on because you are actually riding behind a bomb. Amazing! We learned about the horn signals and proper procedure to start out everyday. There is a conductor in the back. The two people in the front are responsible for the proper mix of steam and pressure to run the train and speed, they are called the fire man and engineer runs the train.

Passover/Feast of Unleaven Bread

Shabbat Shalom as the Feast ends we reflect back on the great things the Lord has done.
We are adopted into God's Family through Yeshua, the King and Messiah of Israel. He has blessed us with knowing his word and the revelation of the Father through his Son, Yeshua. He has freed us from the slavery of sin and gives us grace and mercy when we don't measure up. He loves his own. We see how he has provides and continues to provide for us, his children even when the world is in a upside down state.
Bless the God of Israel who is the Most High God He bestows grace and remember his kindness to his children and children's children. Bless His Name!
