If You Give a Moose a Muffin Play November 21

The Shakespeare Theater put on a play very simular to the famous book, If you give a moose a Muffin. The play also included the Mouse from If you give a Mouse a Cookie, the Moose, from If you Give a Moose a muffin and the Pig from, If you Give Pig a pancake. All of these characters were found introduced in the play with the boy cleaning up his backyard before leaving for vacation. The play followed very closely with the book with even added a puppet show with a large moose and mouse playing each character. We sang doing the Moose with our hands behind our heads. It was a wonderful time.

Festival of the Masters, Downtown Disney

November 7th we enjoy the many talented artists. We were extremely impress with a lady that would hand cut out beautiful artwork. We also saw small wooden scenes that would actually have moving parts as you cranked the handle on the side of each platform of wood art. Amazing.
The girls also had there face painted by Cirque Du Soleit wardrobe artists and we enjoyed asking them many question about the amazing show they put on at Cirque Du Soleit.

The Pilgrims have come to the New World, Remembered

November 18th evening we created a Thanksgiving meal to reflect back in memory of the Pilgrims.
We spent the day cooking and preparing the Feast. On the menu was Roast Duck with Orange sauce, bite-sized potatoes with gravy, Succotash, stuffing, cranberry, and a new recipe Butternut squash Gorgonzola Gallet. We all dressed in Pilgrim garb and gave thanks that we have running water, electric oven, refrigerator, food from the store for easy access. The Lord has truly blessed us with a life of ease. May we remember it is Him who allows these comforts and the bounty from the earth. Blessed are you or Lord, King of the Universe for you have brought MUCH bread from the earth.

Sukkot 2008

This year Sukkot was a blessing. We camped out with our congregation for 8 days in a tent. Yes, this year I made it through the entire week. The kids had a blast being with friend and so did we enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner with brothers and sisters at Congregation Beit Yisrael. As I reflect back Sukkot reminds me to be a separate peculiar people. We felt that time stood still. Without the distractions of computers, cell phones, running a home aka dishes, laundry, cleaning.
Everything is just simple. Minimal cleaning in your tent, more time and lots of interaction with great people. We bless the God of Israel because it is from His calender, we have set this time aside for Him from Him. (Leviticus 23) Thank you Abba for knowing what we need.
