The Pirate Museum houses a unique collection of authentic artifacts along with interactive technology that takes students on an historic adventure through the Golden Age of Piracy and the lives of the era's most infamous pirates.
With the "please touch" atmosphere and Disney caliber audio-animatronics, paired with the provenance of the Smithsonian Institution and rarely-seen artifacts from the state of Florida's archeology vault, students will undertake an awesome journey filled with compelling lore and surprising facts.
The Pirate Museum educational program lasts on average just under one hour. Your group will be met by one of our crew members, where they will receive an introduction to the museum and interesting pirate history, including tales from St. Augustine's infamous run-ins with pirates.
From there, your fully-narrated adventure through pirate history will begin. Your personal crew member will conduct comprehensive narration every step of the way, with stops for fun, interactive activities like knot tying, hoisting the Jolly Roger flag, and cannon firings.
The thrilling audio chamber will be the highlight of the day as students experience the sounds of Blackbeard's explosive last battle inside the creepy darkness of his ship's hull.
