The first night we had David & Nory Pavlik over for dinner. After the visit the Lord gave David this song, Be a Maccabee.  Let's be different in a indifferent world.
In the middle of the week we had David & Mimi Pavik for Dinner.
Also sharing a Hanukkah Dinner with the Blume family and friends.  On Shabbat David starred as King Antiochus with young adults assisting in the retelling in dramatic presentation of the story of Hanukkah
Sunday we travelled to five resorts on a scavenger Hunt for Hanukkiahs
We shared gifts, Jillian wrote encouraging notes to her friends and Dayna painted an Owl for Jillian and Wine bottle/wine glass sketch for Daddy
Dayna wrote a poem for Mommy that made me cry.  We retold the miracle of Hanukkah that The Maccabees had a great victory over the Greek Empire and rededicated the temple for Yahweh.
We focused on being a separate family in the Greek world we live in today.
This was our Feast of Dedication, Hanukkah Celebration.
I Corinthians 6:19-20

Realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Dayna's Poem to Mommy at Hanukkah

A soft voice
A gentle smile
A peaceful gaze
In a sense of style
A loving mind
A caring heart
A creation of God
That's set apart
A remarkable soul
A face so radiant
A skillful person
She's the perfect parent
My Mommy
