Word Spring at Wycliffe Bible Discovery Center where we spent time searching for answers on Bible Translation. How hard it is to translate and who still needs the word of God in there own language. We saw people celebrate when the bible was presented to them in there own language. Our scavenger hunt helps us understand the great work needed to accomplish to spread the word of God is many languages of the world and how we can be a part.
We were off to the Pacific Islands after lunch where we experienced canoe trip on paper to show where over 400 languages do not have the Bible. We dressed in pacific island wear and painted you our face like the natives. We made necklaces to remind us to pray for the bible-less peoples of the Pacific Islands to have the word of God in there language. We worship with different pan flutes and sounds of the islands. We sang the "This is the day the Lord has made" in a different language. We then translated a bible verse with words from another language. May the Lord Bless the Bible Translators of the Pacific Islands.
