Disney Wonder Cruise to the Bahamas

The girls enjoyed a great time with Grandma Doreen. Before the cruise we read the history of Cruising and History on the Bahamas. Cruising began in the early 70's when ships were being transformed from just Atlantic Route ships to Luxury cruise ships, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean were among the first. The Bahamas are found in the Albacos Islands along with Disney's private Island, Castaway Cay. Leaving Port Canaveral they arrived at there first stop of a four day cruise in Nassau, Bahamas, the capital. They enjoyed the Straw market and British Colonial Architecture. Jillian enjoyed time in the Teen Loft and a wild side excursion on the Disney's Private island that included snorkeling, games, kayaking and bicycling. Dayna was able to swim with the Rays and enjoy a private cabana with full service and great view of the Caribbean Sea with Grandma Doreen. One funny memory was when Dayna gave CPR to her light up glow Tinkerbell after a dip in her ice water. Many laughs were heard from Big Sis and Grandma Doreen. Jillian was able to stay up late and enjoy being a teenager at the TEEN LOFT.

Vetic Math Workshop

Vetic Math is an ancient system of math techniques that was rediscover around 1911 by an Indian mathematician named Tirthaji. Entire system is composed of 16 sutras or short phrases plus 13 sub sutras which help students answer questions in a fraction of a time using traditional methods. An all day workshop to learn easy steps to solve hard math problems. There are trick for special squares, fraction multiplying and dividing large numbers.

2010 Juried Art Show

Dayna entered her first art show this year, submitting three pencil drawings. She was awarded an honorable mention for up and coming artist for this rose piece.

First United Methodist Music Camp " The Ultimate Question"

This year the Ultimate Question Musical at First United Methodist Kissimmee. Jillian was able to teach Hebraic dance to fifteen students 9:00-2:00. Dayna was given a solo part. Dayna was able to design question marks and the set. A super time of praise to the Lord.

St. Cloud Art Gallery Camp

St. Cloud Art Gallery held a Art day camp from 9:00-4:00. On Monday Miss Cindy a local Artist shared her expertise on Mosaics. Tues. they traveled to the library to pick up artists books to mimic an artist. Wed. was a trip to the lakefront for a lesson on perspective and pick up some snail shells. Thurs. a history of St. Cloud with the murals around downtown with a stop at the thrift store. Friday finishing up the murals stopping at the Chamber of Commerce which was the First Citizen's bank in St. Cloud a 100 years ago. We stopped at the Veterans Memorial for a scavenger Hunt and to pick up cardboard leaves. Friday each student presented there art work at the Art Gallery. Super Job girls!

Camp Shalom 2010

Our presentation of the Ark of the Covenant on Saturday Shabbat with our high Priest, and priests on duty.A kick off at the Kissimmee Pool with friends. Day 1-4 9-4:00 talking about the Tabernacle.We had holy vessels made and discussed in depth each vessel. Day 2 We were at the indoor bounce house for 3 hours. Day 3 a outdoor waterside and bounce house delivered in the back yard. The kids came up with a great idea to add bubbles a great way to bounce. We baked a cake on Johnny. Our annual whipping cream fight a success. Elisheba Team was the one who memorized the most bible verses. A total of 90 verses for all four teams. Day 4 was the annual sleepover 24 hour marathon. We Tye dyed, designed our own t-shirts, free time. Our skit time for each team to shine for 10 minutes. Moses, Zipporah, Elisheba & Aaron. Our movie 'Over the Hedge ' on the big screen with popcorn too. Praise around the campfire with Will & Jordan on guitar. Glow sticks and marshmallow time. Teens allowed up till 12:00. Breakfast served at 8:30. Friday end of the best Camp Shalom ever.

Florida Bible Camp

A week of fun memories. Good food tire swing, tether ball nukem game and many friendly faces.Skit night, tubing on the Itch me tuck nee river. Ana and Josh were among the great friends.
